A practical RFQ workbook

Electric Golf Cart Manufacturer Requirement Guide

Turn a route, passenger or utility task into a brief that a candidate manufacturer can answer line by line. The guide focuses on configuration choices, test bases, commercial scope and exact-model evidence.

Complete these questions before comparing manufacturer responses

01 / DUTY

What happens during a normal operating day?

Record daily distance, trip length, stops, operating hours, grades, surface, ambient conditions and charging windows. Add passengers, cargo, tools or trailer load. This turns “long range” into a route-specific question instead of an undefined preference.

02 / CONFIGURATION

Which physical arrangement fits the site?

Define forward- or rear-facing seats, passenger capacity, cargo body, overall dimension limits, roof, windshield, tires, lighting, mirrors, restraint expectations, hitch and accessibility needs. Ask manufacturers to label every included and optional item.

03 / ENERGY

Which battery and charging facts must be comparable?

Request chemistry, system voltage, nominal and usable kWh, charger power, connector, supply requirements and charge-time conditions. Keep range-test load, speed, terrain and temperature visible; a stated maximum is not a route assurance.

04 / DELIVERY

What is included from factory to destination?

Specify quantity by configuration, destination state or port, Incoterm, requested delivery window, inspection, packing and documents. Separate vehicle price from customization, inspection, inland transport, freight, duty and destination services.

Scenario prompts

Six buyer situations that change the RFQ

Use the closest scenario as a prompt, then replace its assumptions with the buyer’s actual duty. These are procurement examples, not claims about completed GreenCart Source projects.

Campus circulation

Confirm peak occupancy, boarding frequency, pathway width, turning areas, grade, weather protection, accessibility needs and controlled-site speed rules.

Resort guest transport

Balance passenger layout, luggage space, finish, canopy, lighting, route length, quiet operation, cleaning needs and the available overnight charging period.

Facility maintenance

Quantify people, tools, bed load, towing task, hitch, stop-start frequency, surface, tire needs and the effect of accessories on remaining payload.

Dealer assortment

Split the order by seat count, body style, battery, color and option package. Require each line to show price, minimum quantity, validity and production assumptions.

Community mobility

Separate private-property use from any road-intended expectation. Identify destination, speed class, equipment and exact-model documents for qualified local review.

Mixed-duty fleet

List passenger and utility configurations independently, then identify shared battery, charger, tire, service-document and spare-part preferences for fleet standardization.

GreenCart Source can use the requirement to organize outreach and identify differences in factory replies. Price, availability, lead time, specifications and documents remain subject to confirmation for the exact order; import and registration decisions remain outside our role.
